Interactive map showing global air quality impacts from COVID-19 shutdowns

Earther has a super cool interactive map that gives a fantastic visual of global air quality impacts from COVID-19 shutdowns, using nitrogen dioxide levels collected by satellite. I made a quick video of the interactive map showing the levels in January 2020 (on the left) and March (on the right) in the US. The large blob in the upper right is the NY metropolitan area, and the blob on the left is LA - you can see the outline of the country & Mexico, especially on the East Coast. Comparing China’s month-to-month levels is also very interesting. The article has good info, including caveats about the data. Enjoy!
